I want to thank my good friends and brothers: Albert Yeung, Eric Tsang, Derek Yee, and John Shum for holding such an amazing party for me last night. It was an evening I’ll never forget and will deeply treasure because I had the opportunity to see so many friends that I haven’t seen in such a long time. Maybe I was a little too happy and had a few more drinks than usual, because my staff told me that I kept repeating myself. One of the things I kept saying was, “I don’t have many decades left with my friends, and it’s certainly hard to be friends for so long”. I’ve known these people for many years; some 20, 30, 40 years, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to see them again next time, that’s why I value and cherish every opportunity to gather with so many long-time friends. I hope from now on, no matter for what reason, we still have the chance to gather each year like a reunion.  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to the party (and also those who couldn’t make it), thank you to all the people who once helped me and taught me things. When I was still a nobody, there were many people who helped the unknown “Jackie Chan”. Now, I am Jackie Chan, I hope I can be the person to help even more future generations of unknown “Jackie Chan’s”. A big heartfelt THANK YOU to you all!!!

感謝楊受成、曾志偉、爾冬升、岑建勳幾位兄弟堅持要做昨晚的活動，讓我有機會見到許多很久沒見的老朋友，因為太開心，多喝了幾杯，一直在說重復的話，其中一句就是，我們都是幾十年的朋友，這種朋友以後很難再有了，所以我很珍惜這樣見到大家的機會，希望今後每一年，不管是以什麼理由，我們都可以像這樣相聚一次。感謝所有昨晚到場和沒到場的同行，感謝所有幫助和提攜過我的人，當我還是陳港生的時候，有很多個Jackie Chan幫過我，現在我已經是Jackie Chan了，我希望可以幫助更多的陳港生，謝謝大家！

The past couple of days, I’ve been busy having meetings in LA (Los Angeles). When my staff showed me this news about my book, I was so surprised and very touched.

Actually, this year I’ve been surprised two times so far. My first surprise came from my JC Stunt Team on a TV program where in the end, we all cried like little kids. It was definitely a moment I’ll never forget. My other surprise came from seeing the revised version of my autobiography. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to Momo (the author of my book) and the publishers for your thoughtfulness. Since the release of this publication, my book has been translated into many different languages and appeared in many bookstores all over the world. To me, I consider this a blessing, and also like a kind of honor.

I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all my fans and readers from around the world. I’m very happy that you enjoy reading my story. Even though receiving the Honorary Oscar is now the past, my movies and my life still continues. On behalf of all the onscreen and offscreen crew from the productions of Skiptrace, Railroad Tigers, and Kung Fu Yoga, I’d like to say ‘thanks’ to every single audience for your support and watching it in theaters. Don’t worry, the next movie is coming very soon. I promise I’ll continue to do my best. So to be fair, let me bring the next surprise to you!

正在洛杉磯開會，看到這個消息，很驚喜也很感動。今年收穫了兩個驚喜，一個是成家班給的，最後一群大男人哭得像小孩一樣，那一幕我會永遠記得。另一個就是這本修訂版，謝謝墨墨和出版社這麼用心。這本書自從出版以來，已經翻譯成了很多種語言，出現在了很多國家的書店，對我來說是種幸福，也是種榮耀。感謝全世界的影迷和讀者，很開心你們喜歡看這些故事。奧斯卡落幕，電影和人生還在繼續，在此代表《絕地逃亡》《鐵道飛虎》《功夫瑜伽》所有台前幕後的夥伴，感謝所有買票的觀眾，請大家放心，下一部電影已經在路上，我會繼續努力，下一個驚喜，由我來帶給你們！

I’ve received so many letters, donations and gifts from fans while on the roadshow for Railroad tigers in China. I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge heartfelt “thank you” for all your support! Don’t worry, I’ve read all your letters and counted all the donations. As usual, I’ll match every dollar you donate with another dollar, and the grand total will be updated very soon. Thank you for your generosity.

Stepping into the New Year, I’ll promise to take good care of myself. I also hope that everyone has a wonderful 2017, may each day be better than the previous, and I hope you all are safe and happy.

Although my Oscars trip has come to an end, I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt “thank you” to Tom Hanks and Michelle Yeoh for their speeches at the ceremony; thanks to Chris Tucker for presenting me the award; thanks to all the judges; thanks to everyone who witnessed this special moment and also for your well wishes. I’m already back in Beijing and working on the set! To me, the moment I receive any honorary award becomes a moment in the past. In the future, I will continue to strive and do my best, and make more good movies for everyone to enjoy! Once again, big big “thank you” to you all!

这一趟奥斯卡之旅，感谢汤姆·汉克斯和杨紫琼的现场致辞，感谢克里斯·塔克上台颁奖，谢谢所有评审，谢谢所有人的见证和祝福。现在我已经回到了北京，准备明天早班开工！任何的荣誉在拿到的那一刻就已经是过去式，未来我会继续努力，拍更多好电影给大家看！谢谢你们！
