i like the karate kid..i have a 5 yr old daughter and i would like her to learn cause i want to teach that kid some dicipline and all the other benifits that come with learning. my husband is a black belt in tia kwon do..sorry for the spelling. it is late. any way he would teach her but he works all the time now just to make a livin. i have 3 kidos i eventually want to learn the art. it is just very exspensive. like 99 a month for just one kid!!! any way. loved your movie. and my daughters name is jaiden...she is five..big fan jackie

I LOVE Jackie Chan and his movies! He is one of the funniest physical comedy actors and of course, the martial artist who is the most fun to watch. Like someone said, the title was already chosen 26 years ago. No way should the "teacher" have been anyone but Jackie! We already know the story, we just want to see Jackie (and Jaden Smith too...what an awesome kid!)!

I feel this moving even though it is based on original story line of Karate Kid is going to be WAY BETTER than the original. I can't wait till it comes out next week. I have been patiently awaiting it in the theaters... I feel Jackie is one of the best Movie Martial Artists with his comedy that he brings... He always adds his own twist into all of his movies. This is just another show of his abilities as an actor..

Sifu Jackie, I am concerned that the martial arts community is saddened by the "name" of your new film, I talk with many martial artists around the world and the issue the have is that if the film is to be called karate kid then Karate should be the subject style of choice NOT GungFu. I spoke to Chinese and Japanese who feel upset as Karate is Karate and Gunfu is Gungfu. It in the same context as "Fist of Fury" done with a Japanese Karateka as "Chen Sen" but with Japanese and Chinese characters reversed. Just letting you know what the martial arts community thinks. I'd look at the Martial arts forums, they all say that as "KARATE Kid" the teacher should have been Sonny Chiba who is a senior karate practitioner and also been in many films too including Kill Bill and Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.
