The Jackie Chan Stunt Team
The JC Stunt Team has been around for over 20 years, and its membership is always evolving. In the early days, the team consisted of Jackie and a group of stuntmen who regularly worked together. Later the team became an official organization whose members were able to demand better pay and, most importantly, were insured against accidents.
While they are active in the JC Stunt Team, members work, train, and live together. A strong and unique brotherhood exists among them and some would even say that they possess a sixth sense when it comes to interacting with each other, both on-screen and off. Their ability to communicate without words, to anticipate one another's movements, and their complete devotion to Jackie is magical. The JC Stunt Team jokingly refers to themselves as a small United Nations, with members hailing from all corners of the globe including Australia, Mainland China, Korea, and Hong Kong. All have learned to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English with varying levels of fluency.

Four members of the JC Stunt Team are with Jackie in China filming The Forbidden Kingdom and we would like to introduce you to them. We only got to spend time with three out of the four who were on The Forbidden Kingdom set so we'll talk more with Wu Gang later.
Park Hyun Jin
Born in the countryside near Daejeon, South Korea, 33 year-old Park Hyun Jin began his martial arts training as a young boy. After working at a number of physically demanding jobs as a young man, he turned to the movie industry and in the years between 1997 and 1999, he filmed ten Korean action pictures. In 1999, he was hired to work on the Benny Chan directed hit Gen-X Cops and its sequel, Gen Y Cops. It was during this time that he was introduced to Jackie by JC Stunt Team member Nicky Li. Park joined the JC Stunt Team in 2000 and has worked on all of Jackie's films since then: Rush Hour 2, The Tuxedo, Shanghai Knights, The Medallion, Around the World in 80 Days, New Police Story, The Myth, Rob-B-Hood, Rush Hour 3, and now The Forbidden Kingdom. In addition to his stunt work, Park plays small roles in many of Jackie's movies.
He Jun

He Jun was born in 1978 in China's western Sichuan Province. He was only 6 years old when he began studying Chinese wushu. Before being introduced to Jackie in 2001 by Nicky Li, He Jun worked with Yuen Wu Ping and did some stunt choreography also. He has worked with Jackie and the JC Stunt Team on The Medallion, Shanghai Knights, The Tuxedo, The Twins Effect, Around the World in 80 Days, The Huada Chronicles: Blade of the Rose, New Police Story, The Myth, Rob-B-Hood, and now The Forbidden Kingdom. He Jun has won many awards in Wushu Championships across Asia and like most other JC Stunt Team members, he has small roles in many of the films.
Han Guan Hua

Guan Hua was born 27 years ago in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in central China. Xi'an is known worldwide for being home to Qin Shinhuang's remarkable Terracotta Army.
Guan Hua began his martial arts training as a young boy and from 1992 until 2000, he performed locally in Xi'an. In 2002 he was one of two stuntmen brought by Sammo Hung to film The Medallion with Jackie. It was during this production that he caught Jackie's eye and he joined the JC Stunt Team for Shanghai Knights, staying on for The Twins Effect, Around the World in 80 Days, The Huada Chronicles: Blade of the Rose, New Police Story, The Myth, Rob-B-Hood, Rush Hour 3, and The Forbidden Kingdom. Guan Hua plays small roles in many of Jackie's movies in addition to the work he does as a stuntman.
Wu Gang

Wu Gang has been with the JC Stunt Team since 2000's Shanghai Noon. We didn't have a chance to ask him many questions on The Forbidden Kingdom set, so please stay tuned for his profile.
