Little Big Soldier Screened at Jackie Chan Cinema City
On February 8th,
an advance private screening of Jackie Chan’s new movie, Little Big
Soldier, due to be released on Chinese New Year, was shown at Jackie
Chan’s Cinema City at Wu Ke Song in Beijing. Close friends of Jackie,
special guests, and representatives of the media were invited to the
advance screening at Jackie’s Cinema City, a complex consisting of 17
theatres. There were parts in the film with comedy and themes of love
for the world which gained the acclaim from everyone. Little Big
Soldier is the first film that Jackie Chan China has produced. Apart
from taking on the responsibility as one of the lead characters, Jackie
also took on the responsibilities of creating this original story,
stunt coordinator, singer of the theme song and many other roles. In
the film, Jackie plays a low ranked soldier who happened to capture the
general of the enemy. Many events happen throughout their journey
together and they come across a range of different people. In the end,
the low ranked soldier gave up the plan of taking the enemy general
hostage in exchange for 5 hectares of land, and realizes that what he
really wanted was peace. Guests who came
in support of Little Big Soldier included artists from the
entertainment industry and representatives from various cinemas and
distribution companies. The feedback and reviews from the audience were
very positive, expressing how everyone will be able to see an
entertaining and heartwarming film filled with friendly relationships
this Lunar New Year. Jackie also sang the theme song for the movie, You
Cai Hua (The Flower of the Field Mustard), accompanied by Steve Yoo
Sueng Jun, Lin Peng and the Seven Little Fortunes. Jackie hopes that
his cinema city will be a complex that will earn millions of dollars in
the box office so that he can use his hard earned money to do more
charity work.
