Jackie Makes Guest Appearance on 'Date With Lu Yu'
On December 11, Jackie made a guest appearance on the popular Beijing talk show "Date With Lu Yu." It was Jackie's first appearance on the show in over 7 years. The show's creator and host, Chen Luyu, has been called the "Chinese Oprah" because of the similarity in format and material presented.
He spent much of the time talking about his charity work, telling stories about how he became so involved in helping others. He also said that it was easier to give money to charity than to go out and do something. However, he was very supportive of those who didn't have time to physically involve themselves, but who donated to help various causes.
Jackie brought along his New Seven Little Fortunes, as he has been doing for the past year since The Disciple competition. Jackie wants the young people to experience as much as possible in the entertainment field, and has also been involving them heavily in his charity work.
Jackie became very emotional when asked about his father, Charles Chan, who died last year. Jackie's mother passed away in 2002.
