Jackie Attends Premiere of Jian Guo Da Ye

On the evening of September 10th, Jackie joined dozens of the brightest stars in Asia at the first showing of Jian Guo Da Ye (The Founding of a Republic or The Founding of a Nation). This film is one of the most remarkable undertakings in the history of cinema. Over 200 celebrities including Jackie, Jet Li, Zhang Ziyi, Stephen Chow, and Andy Lau, appeared in the movie, which recounts the history of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Jian Guo Da Ye is one of the most important components of China's 60th Anniversary of The People's Republic of China, which was founded on October 1, 1949. 

In the film, Jackie plays a reporter, although at the premiere he said that he wanted to play Chairman Mao, but the director nixed that idea. Jackie performed the song "Country" at the gala event. You can watch some video of the premiere by clicking  here .
