Jackie Donates Money for Taiwan Disaster Relief

Jackie has donated over 2 million RMB (US $293,000)  to the disaster relief effort after Typhoon Morakot swept across parts of Mainland China, the Philippines, and Tiawan earlier this week, killing over one hundred people in Taiwan alone and leaving hundreds injured or missing.  The storm dumped over 100 inches of rain on Taiwan after causing at least 10 deaths in the Philippines and millions of dollars in damage throughout the region.

Jackie took time out of his busy filming schedule to record a video appeal for help. Speaking to the press, he encouraged everyone to help by making whatever size donation they could afford. He promised to keep himself informed of the relief effort and provide continued support to the victims.
