Jackie Sings for China
Despite being smack in the middle of filming Kung Fu Kid in Beijing, Jackie has been busily involved in many activities this week.
On July 31st, Jackie performed for the military in anticipation of the 60th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China. After singing "Stand Up," he performed the popular song "Country" along with Liu Yuan Yuan.
On the evening of August 2nd, Jackie was in Tianjian to promote "My Own Movie," a duet he sang with Zhou Hui.
On August 4th, the song “Like A Dream” - sung by Jackie Chan & Sandy Lam - was broadcast by Beijing Music Radio in remembrance of the 1st Anniversary of Beijing Olympic Games. Jackie and Sandy will sing “Like A Dream” at the First Anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games Concert which is to be held in Olympic Park on August 6, 2009.
The theme song of the First Anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games was composed by Wang Ping Jiu and Chang Shi Lei and has received positive reviews since it was released, even bringing some of the Olympic staff members to tears.
Wang expressed his happiness that Jackie was participating in the duet and said that Jackie was the first one to volunteer to work for the Olympic Games.
