Jackie's Moving Performance of Earthquake Song

On the evening of May 14th, Jackie gave a moving performance of "Shengsi Bu Li", a song written by Wang Ping in memory of the May 12, 2008 Sichuan earthquake. His appearance was part of a song contest in China co-sponsored by China Society of Musicians and CCTV. Jackie told the appreciative audience that it was always difficult for him to sing this song because it is so moving and that he hadn't sung it in almost a year. After forgetting some of the lyrics and improvising, Jackie joked with the audience that he shouldn't be given a high score for his performance.

Jackie insisted on appearing personally to sing this song because of its significance to all the victims of the devastating earthquake.
