Jackie Visits Sichuan Province for 5.12 Quake Anniversary

On Monday, Jackie visited Beichuan county in southwest China's Sichuan Province to show his support to the people on the first anniversary of the 8.0 magnitude earthquake which occurred on May 12, 2008. Along with Liu Yuanyuan, Jackie performed the song "Country" with students and faculty of Beichuan schools. Jackie unfurled a 5,000 square meter flag on the playground, shouting "Go Beichuan! Go China!"

Beichuan county was the worst hit in the quake with over 21,000 people dead or missing. Over 87,000 people in total were dead or missing in the disaster.

Memorials are scheduled all over Asia this week to remember those who died.
