Jackie Chan and Friends Concert in Beijing

On April 19, 2009 Jackie attended a press conference to officially announce the Jackie Chan and Friends concert which will be held on May 1st at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing, China. At the news conference, Jackie said that he expected over 100 performers would grace the stage on the evening of the concert.

The Bird's Nest stadium was built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and has not been used much since the games ended this past summer.

Jackie has invited dozens of children to perform with him along with popular Asian entertainers Zhang Li Yin, Super Junior-M, Emil Chau, Wang Lee Hom, Jane Zhang, Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Khalil Fong, Alan Tam, Charlene Choi, Jonathan Lee, Angela Zhang, Eric Tsang, Li Bing Bing, Li Yuchun, Rain, and many others. As a special treat, Jackie's "New Seven Little Fortunes" will be performing also. These Little Fortunes include Jack Tu, the winner of  last year's Disciple competition, and the runners up.

Proceeds from the concert will go to charity.
