I immediately flew back to Beijing because Canon was going to present me with…(drumroll) The 2010 Jackie Chan Special Edition Camera! It is called the Eye of the Dragon, similar to my twitter name! Wow I was so happy. They are releasing it just in time for the Shanghai Expo and we put in a lot of work for the details of the packaging. They are only producing two thousand and ten cameras, so make sure you get one while supplies last! Haha

Saturday, April 24
I went to perform with the Tibetan female group AJIA. Since their roots were so close to Yushu, they were heavilyy affected by the earthquake. I know giving back is important to them because I saw them on fundraising TV programs. We performed our song "together" and together with Lucky 7 we poured water to keep hope alive in a tree. However, that water was very precious because it came from a far away place and it took many days to get all the water in that jar. To us in big cities, we are accessible to water anytime, anyway. But to small villages, sometimes it takes them days to retrieve.

Immediately after, I went to the JC Auto.com press conference, releasing a book on driving safety. I told everyone that if they could help with providing cars to bring supplies to the earthquake and drought places, it would make a big difference. All the money that we make from the book will be donated to the earthquake and drought.

Since I had nothing to do afterwards, I wanted to stop by the Beijing auto show to see my JC Auto.com stand and some cool and new cars. Victoria asked me if I was sure that I wanted to go, because my "cameo" would cause a stir. We spent half the time running from showroom to showroom. A lot of my fans were happy to see me and I was happy to see them too. I hope everybody had a great time looking at cars!

Sunday, April 25
I couldn't believe it had already been a week since my trip to Yushu, the earthquake site. I don't know if it felt like a long time ago or if it felt like I went to visit yesterday. I went to do a public service announcement and photo shoot about saying no to drugs. My Lucky 7 boys joined me in the shoot as well. After that I had many meetings and got ready for flight the next day.
Monday, April 26
On the flight sitting two seats away from me was my good friend Sun Nan. Let me tell you a little bit about him.
The world might not know about him, but I know who he is. He is one of the best singers. Don't sing before him and don't sing after him. He is THAT good. If you are good and sing before him, everyone will forget how good you are after he sings. If you sing after him people are still thinking about his voice and won't pay attention to him. Only I can sing with him! That's because I'm not a professional singer. Haha.

A few days ago when I heard that Hong Kong would be hosting a fund raiser for the earthquake, I quickly changed my plans and made a stop in Hong Kong before all of the Shanghai Expo events. I also decided to bring AJIA and my Lucky 7 boys with my. I brought AJIA because they are Tibetan and one of their hometowns were right next to Yushu. When the earthquake happened, one of the AJIA girls called me immediately to tell me she was okay and what the latest news was. Actually a year ago, AJIA told me that they wanted to help an orphanage in Yushu. They were willing to take a flight, then a 5 hour ride just to help the children. I was so touched that I gave them 100,000 RMB cash and told them to buy whatever supplies necessary for the orphans. It's amazing because a year ago, I didn't know about Yushu and I've never heard of the village. They wanted me to go last year. Who knew that 1 year later, I would go myself.
Anyway, I showered and was ready to leave before my pick up time..and then my assistant said the flight was delayed! Remember I said that all the flights that I am on are always delayed? It happened again! Good thing this time, I was not on the plane. Being productive, Victoria and I looked through a stack of CDs and put videos and songs into our computers.
Also in the last few days, I told my good friends Chris Tucker, Lionel Richie, Kenny G, Brett Ratner, Will & Jaden Smith, etc about the earthquake and drought. They wanted to record a short clip for the Hong Kong charity show to let everyone know that there is support from America. I had all the tapes that had footage of my trip to Yushu and Yunan expressed delivered to Beijing. Sometimes I hate technology, because all my friends send me their clips via email. Some links were too big, some files couldn't open - it was very difficult and I don't understand it at all. But now I love technology because I was able to get the videos from my friends! Some of my friends were on tour but they made time in their schedule to record the clips. Charity has no boundary!
As soon as I landed in Hong Kong, I had the tapes delivered to my videographer X Lee, who edited all the pieces together. I went straight to rehearsal with AJIA and Lucky 7. We all went back to my house to change and get ready. The first thing I did was play with my two dogs and two cats, my 4 babies. Sometimes, I wonder if they even know who I am, or are they just pretending that I am their master? Everyone got ready outside because it was such good weather, but was getting bit by mosquitos, which means the weather and season is changing. Time passes by so quickly, it felt like I was in Matsumoto, Japan doing the game show in the snow yesterday.

I still had time before the show started but I wanted to get there earlier because I knew it would be chaotic backstage. Plus, its always good to be prepared! I drove to the coliseum and went backstage. I was right: chaos. But it was good chaos. Every artist, young and olds, came to support and was us running around to get ready.

My Lucky 7 boys backstage, showing their Earthquake support band
First we all got on stage to sing the theme song of the earthquake relief, then I sat down with my big brother Sammo to watch the show. AJIA, Lucky 7 and I sang "Believe Yourself", the same song I sang for the victims of the Szechuan earthquake. My good friends were all there and I saw Emil Chau on the side, so I went backstage to talk to the show managers about doing a surprise performance with Emil & Sun Nan, singing "Sincere Hero". I also invited all the new young artists to sing with us.

One of my favorite performances was when my brothers and sisters from the Peking Opera School came out to do martial arts and ribbon & flag dance. Their disciples performed with them and I was so proud. Why? Because some of them are already 60 years old! That means you have to keep active no matter what age!

My brothers and sisters performing

By the end of the show, all of us got on stage..but I realized that everyone was swaying in all different directions! To avoid drowsiness to the audience at the coliseum and the audience at home, I stood on the chair in the first row and directed the finale. I just wanted to make sure that the show was entertaining and successful! During the show, I received news that there was another earthquake in Taiwan and a sandstorm in a few cities in China. What is going on in the world?!

The finale
Leaving the arena, everyone in our group was focused on getting into the car. But me, I quickly asked for water. Why? Not to drink, but because there was a fire in one of the garbage cans! I don't mind people smoking, but please behave yourselves! Please put out the cigarettes when you are done because it will cause a big accident. Since everyone had left over water, we quickly poured it on the fire. If they are not pouring the left over water in the trees, I will gladly use it to put out a fire!

Nobody ate the whole day, so everyone like Sun Nan, Lucky 7, AJIA and my staff came back to my house. If we all went to the gathering after the show, we wouldn't have been eating - but socializing. The two places that I have been seeing my friends in the last ten years is either a charity show or a funeral. I don't like that!
We finished all the food on the table and relaxed. I had a headache the few days before because I wanted this show to be successful. That night, we raised 42.43 million HKD! We sat around for the rest of the night and had meetings, discussing the future and how to help people. By the time I went to sleep, it was 4am. I woke up in 1 and 1/2 hours and got in the car to go to the airport. I'm so happy to have assistants like Dorothy and Victoria, who went to the airport even earlier than me to check in all of the luggage.
I am on the plane on my way to Shanghai for the Expo then I will have script meetings for my new movie. I wanted to sleep but Victoria told me that she wanted to have a meeting with me to write this diary for you. With this entry almost done, the captain of the plane announced that there were only 20 minutes until landing. Victoria and I looked at each other with big eyes, shocked that time went by so fast. We were both so tired!

Look who was on the plane with me! I called his name and snapped a quick picture of him.
I have Philip from America, Shasha from Korea, my designer Ah Bi from Taiwan and my production managers Barbie and Stanley from Hong Kong - all waiting for me in Shanghai for meetings. Now, I want a clone! A second JC!
