To All My Dear Fans!
Today my assistant told me that over 500,000 people have already viewed my previous blog entry. My assistant also downloaded all the messages from my dear fans for me to read. Wow. I’m so deeply touched by all your messages, and your love, your concern, and your encouragement for me is truly very heartwarming. A lot of fans left me messages saying, “You must be exhausted from shooting the film. Honestly, I don’t want to see you so overworked. I think that you’ve aged very fast just in the past year. Both sides of your hair have gone grey. Is it because you’re too tired? Seeing this makes my heart ache.” And then in the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival day, an old friend of mine sent me a message and said, “Jackie, I noticed you’ve grown a moustache and both sides of your hair is grey; it makes you look particularly old. I couldn’t believe that it was you. Seeing this broke my heart. Is this look for your current movie or is it for real? I cried as I watched you on TV.”
Everybody, please don’t worry about me. I’m still very young, ha ha. This is indeed just a look required by the script for the character I’m playing in the film, Kung Fu Kid. Not only do I have to grow a moustache for this movie, I also have to dye the sides of my hair grey and dye my moustache grey as well. The reason for doing this is because I truly don’t like using a fake moustache where I have to glue it on then rip it off everyday. It’s not comfortable at all. So I thought that I might as well grow one myself. A lot of people have said to me that I shouldn’t grow a moustache, but as an actor this is what we have to do. If hair needs to be cut, I’ll cut it; if hair needs to grow, I’ll grow it. A lot of people have been saying to me that I can’t grow a moustache and I can’t have grey hair because my image wouldn’t look good and it’ll make me look a lot older. But as a professional actor, this is what I have to do because this is what the script for the movie needs. I really like this film so I honestly don’t mind the look. But I still want to thank everyone for the love, the care, and the encouragement you have for me. I’m truly very, very touched.

The magnificent stage at the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala Event. Not only did I see a clean and beautiful city – Yichun, I also saw the stage crew of Zhong Hua Qing, a team of very professional and specialized performers. They exhibited a very high standard of all-round professionalism - from welcoming guests to the arranging the program, from perfecting onstage choreography to broadcasting live.

My disciples, the “New Seven Little Fortunes”. They also sang a song, 《Long De Mengxiang》 (A Dragon’s Dream).

The 3rd of October, 11.30pm, on the plane back to Beijing from Changsha. I spent my first Mid-Autumn Festival with the New Seven Little Fortunes thousands of feet above the ground. This is also my first Moon Festival where I’ve been so close to Chang’e (the Goddess of the Moon) and Yutu (the Jade Hare).

The 4th of October, 1:00am, still another 30 minutes before arriving into Beijing. They’re still so energetic, just like me. Ha ha. (I took this photo).
