I didn’t have any scenes to shoot over the past few days so I went to the China Film Group Film Production Base to look at the post-production work for Little Big Soldier. Afterwards, I went next door to visit Zhang Yimou; he’s filming an ancient period costume movie at the moment.

I bought this goods truck and it’s going to be used for stunt work. The interior and exterior of the vehicle has been modified to look like the ones from America but honestly speaking, I seriously think that the modifications are very messy. I’m not satisfied with it. That being said, I will still continue to teach them how to renovate the vehicle properly and show them what it should look like inside. I’ve already ordered a lot of equipment and materials from America for them to use as a reference.

Right after I finished work, I rushed to a summer camp held for university students from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and I gave them a guest lecture. Well, it was called a “lecture” but to be quite honest, I’m really not qualified enough to give these university students a lecture; I just taught them a few life principles such as how to handle certain matters in life, how to act with integrity, and I shared some of my own experiences with them as well. I also showed the university students a film that I participated in, Looking for Jackie. Towards the end, I sang the song Country. What a satisfying day!

From now on, I don’t think I’ll be feeling as busy or as troubled because once I start working on the film, I’m going to have to decline many events and activities and start doing the same thing everyday – filming, filming, filming. One day when the production team says that I can publish my photos, I’ll show you some pictures of my appearance, my costume, and many other things. But in the meantime, because of the promotional needs of the film, I have to respect the production crew’s decision.

One of the most unforgettable things that happened recently would have to be Michael Jackson’s death. I know Michael Jackson. He once tried to contact me on the phone but I wasn’t able to take his call. When I returned his call, he was too busy. I feel so sad and very regretful. His death has made the whole world very sad and his fans were heartbroken. There have been a lot of news reports about him lately and now that he is gone, I actually think that this might be like a kind of release for him. He won’t be disturbed by anyone anymore, he’ll have no more troubles to worry about, and people won’t criticize him for what he does. Right now, everybody is talking about all his good things and how wonderful he was. Over the past 10 years, I’ve always heard people say bad things about him, making comments about his body, his face, his skin, and many other things. Now that he’s gone, all of a sudden everybody is talking all good things about him and saying that he was an amazing superstar. This is what people are like. So maybe for him, leaving this way would be like a kind of release - like being set free. He was a gifted and talented man, and was very creative. He composed many wonderful songs, sang many songs about peace and harmony, and also did a lot of charity work. I believe that he will go to heaven because he’s done so many good things. I also think that his happiest time should be now because no one is going to say bad things about him anymore. Even if people do talk about him, he wouldn’t be able to hear it. He’s free.

          这几天没有我的戏，我就到中影基地去看《大兵小将》的后期制作，然后就到隔壁去探张艺谋的班，他在拍摄一部古装戏。

          今天终于开工了。

          这个是我买的一部货车，给武行用的，是学美国的样子进行里外的包装，但是很坦白的讲装的非常烂，我很不满意，不过我会继续教他们，如何做一个货车，里面的装修应该是怎么样，我已经从美国定了很多材料回来，给他们参考。

          今天收工后马上赶到一个中港台澳地区大学生的夏令营，给他们讲课。说是讲课其实我没有什么资格给这些大学生们讲课的，只是教给他们一些做人做事的道理，把我的一些经验讲给他们听。还放了一部我参与的影片《寻找成龙》给大学生们看，最后唱了首《国家》。

          好充实的一天。

          接下来的日子我相信就不会那么烦那么忙了，因为一开工呢，我就会推掉很多事情，就是每天重复拍戏、拍戏……到有一天剧组说可以发布照片的时候，我会把照片，我的造型我的服装给大家看，因为现在要尊重剧组的宣传需要。

          最近给我印象最深的我想就是马克杰克逊的死讯，我也认识他，他曾经打过电话给我，我没有接到，我打回去他又没有空，非常的遗憾。他的死令全世界非常遗憾，令喜欢他的人更加的悲痛。这一阵子关于他的报道实在是很多很多，我在想他现在去了对他来讲可能也是一种解脱吧。他不再会被别人打扰，不用再烦恼，不需要给人家去讲他什么，现在大家讲的都是他的好。最近十年我所听到的所有人讲他都是讲他身上脸上皮肤等种种的不好，忽然现在去了，大家讲的都是好的，都是讲他是天王巨星的。人就是这样，他这样去了对他真是一种解脱，他是个天才，他是个创作者，他创作了很多好听的歌，唱了很多关于和平的歌，做了很多慈善的事情。相信他做了这么多好事，一定会上天堂，他现在也应该是最开心的时候，因为没有人再讲他了，就算讲他他也听不见了，解脱吧
