Filming started for Kung Fu Kid today and this morning, the production crew organized a ceremony to mark the start of shooting. I made it very clear that they were not allowed to kill any pigs because we’re only marking the start of our shoot; why do we have to kill pigs? So I told the production crew to arrange fresh fruit as an offering instead. I personally don’t believe in superstitious things such as gods, but I wanted the make sure that our production team felt comfortable and at ease, and I also respect our traditional Chinese customs, so I thought it would be good if we arranged a ceremony to worship the gods. I even taught Will Smith and his family how to worship the gods. They thought the ceremony was very meaningful and they really enjoyed it.

The main actors in Kung Fu Kid include Jaden Smith and me. Will Smith is the producer, Harald Zwart (director of Agent Cody Banks, The Pink Panther 2) will be directing the film, and screenwriter Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness) wrote the script.

Right after the press announcement ceremony, the film crew cleared the area and we started shooting on location. So from now on, I’m going to be busy filming this movie over the next few months. Hopefully you’ll be able to see  Kung Fu Kid very soon.

          今天《功夫梦》（Kung Fu Kid）开机了，早上剧组做了开机仪式，我特地交代他们不能杀猪，我们开机为什么要烧猪呢，所以吩咐剧组全部都摆放水果。我自己本身不相信这些神，但是为了工作人员的安心呢，也尊重中国传统习俗，还是安排了拜神仪式，我还教威尔史密斯全家怎么拜神，他们到觉得很有意思，很过瘾呢。

          《功夫梦》是由我和威尔．史密斯儿子贾登．史密斯（Jaden Smith）主演的，威尔是监制，并由《少年特工科迪》（Agent Cody Banks）《粉红豹2》（The Pink Panther 2）导演哈洛德·佐特（Harald Zwart）执导，《天气预报员》（The Weather Man）《当幸福来敲门》（The Pursuit of Happyness）编剧Steve Conrad编写剧本。

          发布会刚结束，摄制组便马不停蹄地清场，在原地开始拍戏。所以，打后的几个月我都会忙于拍戏，希望《功夫梦》很快就跟大家见面。
