Work started again today. I took some of the equipment that I’d previously shipped up from Hong Kong and moved it to the set of the filming location. They (my staff) are always like this – they never touch the things that I bring over here. They just put them to one side and then leave them. I always have to sort these things out myself. 

All the actors in the production came together in the afternoon and we did a practice run of the entire script, from the beginning right to the end. I think that doing this is very useful because if anyone had any problems with the script, we could discuss it right away and then try to resolve it.

In the evening, I had to fly back to Hong Kong. The following day, I woke up early in the morning and then set off towards Guangzhou by car. A good friend of mine is opening a new hotel there. I saw many of my close friends at the hotel opening ceremony as well: Crystal Liu Yifei, Fan Bingbing, Joey Yung, and Charlene Choi. We even left behind our handprints. This good friend of mine is a residential property developer and this place that he’s built is huge; it covers about 2.7 km (1.7 miles) of land. The thing I admire most about him has nothing to do with how wonderful his hotel is; I admire him because he did a very good job with protecting our natural environment. He constructed a brand new hotel, yet every single tree planted here looks so strong and healthy. He had these trees relocated from many different areas and this is one of the reasons why I admire him.

After attending the event, I rushed back to Beijing in the afternoon. I honestly think that airplanes make this world seem so much smaller. The day before yesterday I was in Beijing, yesterday I was in Hong Kong, today I was in Guangzhou, and now I’m back in Beijing.

July 9 - 10  （星期四至五）

          第二天又开工了，我把从香港带过来的以前的一些器材搬到拍摄现场。他们永远都是这样子，我拿来的东西永远都是摆在那里不动，什么都要我亲手整理。

          下午全组的演员都到齐了，大家一起把剧本从头到尾念一遍，我觉得这样真的很好，有什么问题大家可以随时提出来进行讨论。

          晚上马上我就飞香港，第二天一早起来坐车到广州，是我的一个好朋友的酒店开张。开幕礼也见到了很多老朋友，见到了刘亦菲、范冰冰、容祖儿、阿Sa呀等，我们还打了手印。我这个好朋友是一个房地产商，这个地方有2.7公里那么大，我最佩服他不是酒店做的有多好，而是他的环保做的非常的好，一个新的酒店，但是这里的每一棵树都是很粗很大的，都是很多地方移植过来的，这是我非常欣赏他的一点。

          参加完活动，下午就赶回北京。有了飞机我觉得这个世界实在是太小了，前天在北京，昨天在香港，今天在广州，现在又回来北京了。
