When I finally saw the current situation in the devastated area of Sichuan from watching television news coverage, I was horrified by what I saw. From looking at the extent of the damage, I could imagine how violent the earthquake was when it happened. While watching some of the reports I just couldn’t hold back my tears; they were rolling down my face uncontrollably.  I know I’m not Superman but why is there no Superman in this world? I started thinking about the heavy-duty machinery I’ve wanted to buy in the past and the Airstar lighting balloons that I agent for; how they could all come in handy and help with rescue efforts. But I just didn’t know how to get this equipment into the devastated area. While I watched the reports on television, I felt so anxious because I was absolutely powerless and useless, and I didn’t know what I could do to help. Fortunately, frontline rescue teams from all over China were already in the disaster zone carrying out rescue and relief operations. The scenes I saw on television were so moving. The loving, caring, and supportive nature in the people who continuously reach out a helping hand to offer financial aid is amazing. People from all the surrounding areas came to offer their support for the area in trouble. Apart from that, I saw a lot foreign tourists helping with rescue efforts as well, offering aid and support. I am honestly very touched and I’m deeply grateful to them.

As I’ve said all along, we should make an effort to establish funds during normal times and not when something bad happens. Natural disasters and man-made catastrophes are usually very sudden and happen unexpectedly. Raising funds when these events happen is usually too late so we should really try and do these things on a continual basis. Right now, my good friend Eric Tsang and I are in the process of preparing to do these things. We decided that this was something we must do because when rescue and relief operations are over, it doesn’t mean that the whole situation is over and everything is resolved. Afterwards, we still need to help residents settle in and feel stabilized, allowing them to recover physically and emotionally, and we need to help them rebuild their homes and construct new schools. All this requires time and money. This is why I want to establish a fund for future use. I hope that after I set up the fund, we can do some fundraising events every year on a set date, accumulate some money for the foundation, and then whenever there is a need, the funds can be used to help all those who need help.

Eric and I don’t usually call each other but whenever something happens, the both of us spontaneously call and tell each other about the news. I have to say that I’m always happy to receive a call from Eric but, to tell you the truth, if Eric only calls to tell me that something bad has happened, then I’d prefer that he never ever calls me! Anyway, no matter what, for the time being we are rather powerless in terms of helping with rescue work in the area so Eric and I decided to start making arrangements for charity work afterwards. I know the things we can do at the moment are very limited but we’ll still keep doing them. We want all the disaster victims and frontline rescue workers in Sichuan to know that there a lot of people who are supporting them.

Since I’m on the topic about taking action, ever since the magnitude 8.0 earthquake hit Sichuan, the situation in the area has been extremely severe. I think the response from the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild has been very quick because they’ve already called together many celebrities from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to participate in charity events for the Sichuan earthquake, helping to raise funds for disaster relief. So far, the Hong Kong entertainment industry has continuously held many different fundraising events to help aid their countrymen in China. On May 14^th, the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild held an urgent meeting and announced the launch of a special fundraising event called the Artistes from Two Shores and Three Lands - 5.12 Compassionate Operation. Organizations who will participate in this event include Hong Kong’s television broadcasting stations plus many other television stations, all working together to help raise funds for disaster relief. The Artistes Guild also called on all the entertainers and singers of Hong Kong to participate in recording a theme song for this devastating disaster, sending good wishes and blessings to all the victims. The Artistes Guild decided to use the melody from a song called Hai Kue Tian Kong (Boundless as the Sea and Sky), originally sung by a band named Beyond; Andy Lau and Steve Wong rewrote the lyrics. The name of this song which combines an old tune with new lyrics is called Cheng Nuo (Promise).

Since I happened to be in China, I was responsible for the recording and music production work of this song with singers in China. In Hong Kong, this responsibility was given to Alan Tam and in Taiwan someone else was responsible for this job. On the night of the recording, I managed to gather many entertainers from around China. I was very happy because hundreds of people responded to my call without hesitating and everyone came to the recording studio to record the song.

I’m not a professional music producer and I felt I didn’t deserve the honor of this responsibility, but this song was for the disaster victims and I wanted to do something for them, so I humbly took on the role as the producer of this song. The crowds of singers were all very nice, coming from various places around China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea. All their hearts were united as one with the aim of successfully recording this disaster relief song, Cheng Nuo. After recording the song, everyone patiently waited to film the MV. I know this song isn’t able to fill the stomachs of the disaster victims, nor can it rescue them out of the area, but at least it can be used as a form of support and encouragement to all those affected by the quake: the injured victims, the frontline rescue workers, and everyone who is helping with relief efforts in the area. I want them to know that we morally support them.

When I went to the airport, I noticed a lack of the goods that are usually piled up in the loading zone. The airport was nearly empty; I didn’t see many passengers catching flights out of the city. In fact, most passenger flights gave runway priority to military aircrafts that needed to deliver supplies and materials to the disaster area. I was actually worried that I might disrupt their work with delivering aid and supplies to the area but they told me that adding a flight to the departure schedule was no problem. So, after making arrangements through army staff, a route was opened for me to fly to Deyang City.

When I first found out about the big earthquake in Sichuan, I really wanted to go to the disaster area, but I didn’t know how I could do that. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank China Insurance for making this trip possible and getting me there. I’ve also agreed to be the China Insurance Charity Ambassador. So now, apart from being the Charity Ambassador, I’ve also come to the area representing the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation and the entertainment industry.

This devastating earthquake has made me understand that love and compassion has no cultural boundaries. For example, when I was on the flight from Hong Kong to Beijing, the American pilot flying the plane heard I was going to visit the disaster area in Sichuan. He told me that he’s been living in China for many years and the Chinese people have been very kind to him, taking good care of him, and he didn’t know what he could do to help. He then took out his wallet, gave me some money, said that it was his wages for the month and asked me to donate it to the disaster area on his behalf. I saw his eyes were filled with tears and he said to me, “I know it’s not a lot of money and I know it won’t be of much use but this is just a small contribution from me. Consider it as my way of repaying the Chinese people who have been so good to me over the years!” So, what I really want to say is that I’m not the only person who cares about the people in Sichuan, everyone is concerned about the situation there at the moment. I know we can win this battle and overcome this devastating disaster.

When I arrived at the location of the press conference, I gave a one minute silent tribute to honor and remember the victims of the earthquake. There wasn’t one person in the room who didn’t have tears in their eyes.

During the press conference, someone asked if I could sing Zhuang Zhi Zai Wo Xiong (A Vigorous Aspiration in My Mind) as a show of moral support to all the disaster victims and the frontline rescue teams in the area. Before I even started singing, everyone in the room had already starting singing the song. I sang along with them and when we came to the line “zhuang zhi zai wo xiong” everyone sang with a strong voice as a show of moral support to all the victims affected by the earthquake.

A young girl from the devastated city of Deyang was at the press conference. I held onto her hand and also gave her a firm hug. I tried so hard to hold back my tears because at the very moment when I gave her a hug, I had the belief that just as long as there was hope, we should never give up any chances of saving a life. I found it very hard to control my emotions and I impulsively shouted out “jia you” (keep up the hard work and effort) to encourage and support all the people in Sichuan affected by the disaster. At the same time, another young girl came up onto the stage. She told me that she no longer has a mom or dad, and she was very grateful that I had come to Sichuan to help everyone do a little something. She then handed me a toy panda as a gift. I think she is a very brave girl. I also gave her a hug to show my care and support, and I hope she will continue to face the tough road ahead with continual strength and courage. After the short and simple press conference, I quickly set off to the heavily affected disaster area of Deyang with the workers from my Dragon’s Heart Charity Project. We brought supplies with us to give to the people and we were all prepared to offer our strength and assistance to the rescue workers in the area.

On the way to the disaster zone, I noticed quite a few army trucks, big and small goods vehicles, and three trucks loaded with aid supplies and water all headed towards the devastated area. On the road going in the opposite direction, I saw empty trucks heading back to where we just came from. I also saw ambulances travelling in both directions; some were going into the disaster area to save lives and some were heading out of the area, transporting injured people to safety. The road was very busy with traffic. I grabbed my camera and took some photos of what I saw on my way to Deyang City.

From the site where donations were presented in Chengdu, I traveled to a hospital in Deyang City, arriving just after two o’clock in the afternoon. Apparently, my arrival at the hospital gave the local disaster victims an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Apart from bringing food, water, and other relief supplies, I also personally handed over into the hands of the hospital the tens of thousands of dollars in cash that my friend entrusted me with. I kindly asked the medical staff to buy more fruit for the injured people and also to take good care of the disaster victims.

While I was eating dinner, I saw two little girls. I asked them what their home was like at the moment and they told me that their home was gone. My friend was extremely moved after hearing what the little girls said and immediately took out RMB$10 thousand (USD$1,444) for the girls to use as emergency funds. At first, the two little girls wouldn’t accept the money from my friend but in the end, after a bit of persuasion, my friend managed to convince the girls to accept the money.

Afterwards, we saw the injured children, volunteer medical staff, and volunteer workers inside the hospital so my friend and I immediately donated RMB$5 million (USD$722,200). Also, the driver who was responsible for transporting us around the area donated RMB$2,000 (USD$289) as well, and said it was a very small contribution from him and his fiancé. The scene at the time was very touching. Everyone who had money gave money, and those who could offer their strength did so with all their effort. It didn’t matter what amount people gave, everyone still pulled out their wallets and donated whatever money they had. Within the group of volunteers who were with me on this trip, one of the members was from Sichuan and she previously participated in The Disciple competition but didn’t get selected to continue competing. When she knew that I was going to visit the disaster area, she immediately signed up to do volunteer work with me.

I went to every ward in the hospital and visited all the injured disaster victims. I saw quite a few elderly people and children who were injured by the earthquake. I have to say from the bottom of my heart a big thank you to the frontline rescue workers for their hard work because without their endless and untiring rescue efforts, I know for sure that I wouldn’t have been able to see these people today. I asked the patients to tell me about how bad their injuries were. When I found out that most of them sustained mainly broken bones or external cuts and bruises - injuries that weren’t life threatening, I felt a little relieved and didn’t feel as worried. I gave them my moral support, encouraged them to recover from their injuries quickly, face the difficulties ahead with strength and courage, and start to rebuild their homes soon. Because I didn’t want to disturb the patients from resting, I only stayed for twenty minutes and then I left.

While on this trip in Sichuan, I donated financial aid and thousands of supplies to the devastated areas but at the moment, I am most concerned for the children and students who are affected by this earthquake. Now I know what the next job for my Dragon’s Heart Foundation will be: to help support and rebuild the schools in Sichuan.

After I left the hospital, I saw a lot of residents living in tents in the outskirts of the city. They were too afraid to stay inside their homes because they were worried there might be an aftershock. I also saw a many volunteer organizations erecting temporary tents, offering emergency aid and relief supplies for the injured victims.

I know in Hong Kong there are a lot of people, businesses, and organizations who are continuously collecting donations or initiating ways to raise funds for disaster relief. At every place I go to in China, a lot of people say to me that they are very grateful to the people in Hong Kong and the entertainment industry for our help and assistance. I immediately said to them that I wasn’t here representing just the people of Hong Kong, I was representing the whole of the entertainment industry, and representing China. I know that any Chinese person would stand up to the call and do something to help the disaster victims.

In here I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the volunteer workers and rescue teams working in the area. Your amazing spirit in giving of yourself to help others in need honestly makes me admire you. Also, I am deeply grateful to the corporations who have donated generously for the devastated area, for example; Coca Cola Tea donated ten thousand cases of water, and Si Nian donated one million portions of food. These supplies can be used to help many disaster victims.

Originally, I wanted to go and visit another area that was devastated by the earthquake but unfortunately, I received reports saying that I couldn’t go because the embankment walls of the quake lakes needed to be blown up or they could cause major floods. So as a safety precaution, we needed to evacuate the area immediately. I seriously wanted to go and visit the other area of the disaster zone because since I was already in the area. I had hoped to visit a few more hospitals, spend time with the injured patients, bring them some supplies, and give them my moral support. But the chief commander in charge came out and explained to me that because the forecast was for heavy rain, the quake lakes could burst at any time and it would cause major floods in the area. He told me that army troops had already started to retreat from the area. I honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing but when I looked at the commander, I saw his eyes were filled with tears. He said to me that he also didn’t want to evacuate the area but he had no choice. If the quake lake did burst, the risk of more people getting injured or killed was even worse. He said that he knew if we evacuated now, survivors under the rubble could not be saved but at least the lives of those still alive can be guaranteed safety.

A group of workers from my company had already entered the other disaster area. I contacted them and told them I couldn’t meet with them because army troops required us to evacuate the area immediately. They then sent me a text message and this is what it said: “Honestly, it’s just like being in a war zone. Everywhere you see policemen and army troops, police cars, fire engines, government vehicles, long calls of alarm sirens, tents, injured people, the sides of the road lined up with mineral water, instant noodles, toppled houses - reality is just too cruel!”

When I got back to Beijing, I just felt so unhappy. I didn’t know what else I could do to help the disaster victims. I then started thinking about the heavy duty equipment, heavy duty cranes, medical treatment vehicles, the balloon lighting equipment I act as an agent for, and some other equipment that I’ve seen on my previous trips overseas. I thought that I should try and contact the manufacturers or the distributors of these companies. I thought these things would all come in handy and help with rescuing the survivors who were still stuck under the rubble. But at that moment, my ideas were useless. I just hoped that the survivors who were still buried under the rubble would continue to stay strong and stay alive. I know the rescue teams would keep trying their best and use every last effort to save as many people as possible.

Yesterday, I caught the morning flight back to Hong Kong. As soon as I got off the plane, I immediately went to record a voiceover and I didn’t finish work until well past 11:00 P.M. After that, I went straight to the Performing Artistes Guild meeting and the meeting went on until four o’clock in the morning. At the meeting, we all knew that we couldn’t do much to help with rescue efforts in the devastated area at the moment so we decided that we’ll concentrate in helping with rebuilding homes and reconstructing schools for the disaster victims. In the end, we thought of several constructive ideas. At the moment, I’m not able to personally participate with the planning process because I’m going to be away from Hong Kong for a while. Today I’ll be flying to France, after that I’ll be off to London, and then I’ll be going to Beijing – the whole time I’ll be flying all over the place. But, I’ll be following the matter very closely and will keep in contact with the people involved.

I have cried so many times already. Every time I see the scenes from the devastated area on television, I always feel sad, upset, and heartbroken for the disaster victims. But whenever I see rescue teams pull out a survivor from the rubble, I feel very touched and moved.
 
I know there are a lot of poems and true life stories related to the devastating earthquake that are circulating on the internet at the moment. I honestly have to tell you, I couldn’t stop crying when I read them. In one of the news reports, I read about an extraordinary and wonderful mom who sacrificed her life to protect her little child. When the earthquake happened, the mother wanted to save the life her little baby who was only a couple of months old. She kneeled on the ground, her back facing the roof, and used her body to protect her baby. When rescue workers found the mother who was crushed to death in the ruins, they discovered the young baby lying underneath her body - unharmed. The three or four month old baby was wrapped in a little red blanket dotted with yellow flowers. Because of the protection from the mother’s body, the baby didn’t have any injuries, and when she was carried out from the ruins, she was still sleeping peacefully.

A doctor who was with the rescue team at the time untied the baby’s blanket to do a medical check-up and discovered a cell phone tucked inside the blanket. The doctor picked up the phone and took a quick look at the screen. He noticed a short text message that was written on the screen and it said: “My dearest baby, if you survive, you must remember that I love you.” When I read this, I could feel my eyes blurring up with tears I couldn’t continue reading on.

One earthquake has made so many people suffer; losing homes and members of their families. But this disaster has also shown me the kind-hearted and courageous side of ordinary people. So many stories have come out of the devastated area; those who hear the stories feel heartbroken and those who witness them shed tears. One story I heard was about some soldiers who, when they were in the middle of saving a child, suddenly heard the sound of the siren which signaled that the lakes were about to burst and the area had to be immediately evacuated. When the soldiers heard the siren, they didn’t want to leave because they were trying to save a child but unfortunately, they were given an order and if the quake lake did burst, all four of them would most probably lose their lives. So, the only thing the soldiers could do was give a bottle of water to the trapped child, then turned their backs and leave. The soldiers only walked away a couple of steps before they stopped and decided to go back because they didn’t have the heart to leave the child behind like that. So, they deliberately disobeyed orders and went back to save the child. Hearing these true life stories makes my eyes fill with tears. There are many, many more touching stories but I can’t write them all here. I just hope that when this devastating earthquake travels further into the past, disaster victims will forget the pain and suffering, rebuild their homes, and face life with a positive attitude.

To the victims: We will always be supporting you, so stay strong and continue to walk to road ahead with courage and determination.

四川的災情：

          今日我終於看到電視報導四川的災情，場面真的是驚心動魄，我可以想像到當時地震的情況是非常嚴重。看到某些場面，我的眼淚已不受控的在臉上亂爬。雖然我不是超人，為什麼這個世界沒有超人呢？我在想，以前我想買的重型機器，我所代理的氣球燈，全都可以在救災的過程中大派用場，現在就是不知道怎樣可以把這些東西送到災區？我在看電視，心裡是挺焦急的，覺得自己很無能、不中用。幸好全中國的前線部隊已經在災區展開拯救行動，場面非常感人。還有，華人那份自發性的關懷和支持，紛紛伸出援手和捐助，可以說是‘一方有難，百方支援’。此外，看到很多外國旅客也伸出援手，我真的很感動、很感激他們。

          我一直在說，我們應該在平時建立一些基金，而這些基金並不是在發生什麼時候才建立，因為有很多天災人禍都是突發的，發生的時候才建立已經遲了，我們應該不斷在做。現在我就是跟我的好朋友曾志偉籌備做這些事情，我們決定一定要做，因為不是救災就完結了整件事情，隨後還要安定民心，讓他們身心得以康復，為他們重建家園和學校，這一切都需要金錢和時間。所以，我希望建立了一個基金以後，每年定期做些籌款活動，累積一些金錢，只要那裡有需要，基金就可以發揮作用，幫到有需要的人。

          我跟志偉不是經常通電話，但是每一次有什麼事情發生了，我們二人就會不約而同的打電話給對方。坦白說，收到他的電話，我當然很開心，可是是因為有什麼事情發生才收到他的電話，我寧願他永遠都不要給我打電話！無論如何，暫時我們在拯救方面真的無能為力，我跟志偉只能安排善後的事情。雖然現在我們能夠做的事情很有限，但是我們仍然不斷地做，讓四川的災民和前線人員知道有很多人在支持他們的。

          談到採取行動，自四川發生8級大地震，災情嚴峻，我覺得香港的演藝人協會反應很快，已經召集了不少中港台藝人一起參與慈善活動，為四川地震籌款賑災。香港演藝界為救助內地同胞，紛紛舉行各項籌款活動，香港演藝人協會於5月14日也召開緊急會議，宣佈將展開一個名為《兩岸三地演藝界五．一二關愛行動》，參與機構香港的電視台以及多家電台等，一起為賑災籌款出力。演協呼籲全港所有藝人歌手為這次大災難錄主題曲，為災民送上祝福。演協最後選了Beyond樂隊的‘海闊天空’作為主題曲，再由劉德華和黃家強重新填詞，舊曲新詞的歌曲名為‘承諾’。

          剛好我在國內，所以我負責監製國內的錄音工作，香港就交由譚詠麟負責，台灣由另一位演藝人負責。當晚已經召集了很多國內的演藝人，大家一呼百應來到錄音室錄音。坦白說，要我這個不是專業的人負責監製，我真的不敢當，可是這一次是為了災民，我應該當人不讓。眾多的藝人都很好，他們來自內地、港台及韓國等地，萬眾一心的只為錄好這首賑災歌曲：《承諾》，然後就等待拍音樂錄像。雖然這首歌不會令災民溫飽，不會把他們拯救出來，然而，起碼可以鼓勵一下傷者、災民、傷者的家人、前線工作者，以及所有出過力的人，為他們打打氣。

          第二天，我要到機場，當我到達機場的時候，看到平常堆滿起卸的貨品，現在全都沒有了，機場空空如也。而且，沒有什麼旅客離開，基本上，他們都先讓軍機、外國軍機運送物質。我擔心會否阻礙他們運送物質的工作，他們說一架飛機是沒有問題的。經過軍隊的安排，開了一條航線給我去德陽。

          第一時間知道四川發生地震後，我一直就想來，但我不知道怎麼樣才能過來，感謝中國人保能把我帶到這裏，我更成為了中國人保慈善大使。所以，我除了是慈善大使之外，我更是代表成龍慈善基金和演藝界出發的。

　　這一次地震，讓我知道‘愛心是沒有國界的’。就在我從香港飛到北京的飛機上，開飛機的美國機師聽說我們要慰問四川災區，他說他在中國住了很多年，中國人對他很好，很照顧他，他不知道現在可以做些什麼？他馬上把自己的錢包拿出來說，這是他一個月的薪水，請幫忙捐給災區。他淚盈於眶的說：「我知道不是很多錢，也起不了很大的作用，但是這是我的心意，就當是我回報給對我好的中國人吧！」所以我要給大家說的是，不只是我，所有的人都在關注著四川，我們一定能夠戰勝災害。

          我到場首先向在地震中的遇難者默哀一分鐘，到場者無不落淚。發佈會過程中，有人問我可不可以唱‘壯志在我胸’，為災民和前線人員打打氣？我還沒開始唱，他們已經開始唱了，我唱著，現場的民眾高聲一起唱‘壯志在我胸’為受災群眾加油打氣。一位來自重災區德陽的女孩也來到現場，我握住她的手並且緊緊地擁抱著她，我努力的忍著淚水，因為擁抱她的一剎那，我相信只要有希望，救得一個就一個，不要放棄任何機會。就因心情很激動，我高喊著‘加油’，為所有四川受災群眾打氣。與此同時，又有一位女孩子走到台上，她跟我說她的爸媽已經沒了，她很感謝我來到四川為大家出一點力，她親手送我一個熊貓玩偶。我覺得她非常勇敢，我也擁抱著她，要為她打氣，希望她可以繼續勇敢的面對前面的路。簡短的發佈會後，我跟‘龍子心慈善工程’的工作人員帶著第一批募捐物資，奔往重災區德陽，為救災貢獻自己的一份力量。

          當我前赴災區的時候，沿途看到道路上都有軍車、大小貨車、三輪車乘載著物質和水，全都是開進災區的。另外，在反方向的車道上，就是一些空車往回走。而救傷車則是來回走，有開進災區救人，有載著傷者離開，令整條道路非常繁忙。我馬上取出照相機，把沿途所見的情景拍下來。

          下午兩點多，我從成都捐贈現場趕到德陽某醫院。我的到來，顯然給當地的災民帶來了不少意外和驚喜。除了飲料和食物等賑災物資外，我還在現場親自將朋友託付給我的數萬元現金送到了院方的手中，一再囑咐醫務人員多給傷者買水果，好好照顧災民。  

          吃飯的時候，我看到兩個小女孩，我們問她們家裡怎樣？她們說家已經沒了。我的朋友聽了以後，非常感動，馬上從身上取出一萬元給她們以制燃眉之急。兩個小女孩一直不肯要我朋友的錢，最後我的朋友幾經勸籲下，她們才收下這些錢。

          後來，我們見到醫院內的受傷兒童、志願醫生、義工等人，我和朋友拿了五萬塊錢出來，還有負責接送我們的司機也拿了兩千塊出來，說是他跟未婚妻的小小意思。當時的情景真的令人很感動，所有人都有錢出錢，有力出力，不管錢多錢少，每個人都從腰包拿錢出來捐獻。這一次同行的義工當中，有一位是四川人，曾經參加‘龍的傳人’，她落選了。當她知道我要到災區，馬上要跟我去做義工。

          我也一一探望了大病房裏的受傷災民，而看到不少在地震中受傷的老人和小朋友，不禁從心底裡說謝謝所有前線人員的努力，沒有他們努力不懈的拯救，我肯定看不到他們。我也仔細詢問了他們的傷勢，得知他們大部分為骨折和外傷等輕傷時才放下心來。我為受傷的災民打氣，鼓勵他們堅強面對災難，早日康復和重建家園。為了不打擾受傷人員休息，我僅在現場停留不到二十分鐘便離開。

          這一次四川之行，我再次向災區捐贈款項和數百萬物資，現在我最關心在地震中受到影響的學生，我知道‘龍子心工程’接下來的工作就是要扶持四川的學校災後重建。     

          當我離開醫院後，看到很多居民都不敢留在家裡，他們都擔心有餘震，全都在郊區架起帳篷棲身。另外，又看到很多志願團體架起臨時帳篷為傷者提供急救和物資援助。

          我知道香港有很多人，或是商店，或是機構，紛紛發起募捐和籌款。在國內，我所到的地方，都有很多人對我說感謝香港人和演藝界的幫忙。我馬上跟他們說我不是代表香港人，我是代表整個演藝界，代表中國人，只要是中國人都會站起來做些事情幫這些災民。

          我要在這裡感謝所有慈善部隊，他們那份捨己為人的精神，實在令我佩服。還有，很感激一些財團慷慨解囊，例如：可樂茶給了我一萬箱水、思念給了我一百萬的糧食，這些物質可以幫助很多災民。

          本來我還希望再到另外一個受災的地區，可是收到報告說不可以了，因為需要炸堤，為了安全起見，要我們馬上撤離。我說真的很希望再到另一些災區，我來了，我希望再到幾間醫院探望傷者，給他們帶來一點物資和支持。後來，總指揮官出來跟我們說，由於將會有大雨來臨，隨時會崩堤，軍隊開始撤退。我真的不敢相信，可是總指揮官含著淚跟我說他們也不想撤出，如果崩堤的話，死傷更為慘重，現在這樣撤走，不能再拯救埋在瓦礫的生還者，卻可以確保現有的人的生命。

          公司有部份工作人員已經進入了另一個災區，我跟他們聯繫上，說因為軍隊要我們撤出，我們不能跟他們會合了。他們發了一個短訊給我，裡面寫著：「真的跟戰爭一樣，漫大天警察跟士兵、警車、消防車、政府車，警鐘長鳴，帳篷、傷人，馬路兩旁的礦泉水、方便麵，倒塌的房屋，現實真是太殘酷了！」

          當我回到北京以後，整個人都感到不開心，我真的不知道自己可以做些什麼幫助災民？為什麼我不是一個超人呢？這個時候，我想到以前我在外國看到一些重型的軍備、重型吊機、醫療車和我代理的汽球燈等等的工具，為什麼那個時候我不聯繫這些生產商或是代理商？我想，這些東西或可以幫助拯救被埋的傷者，可是現在空想也沒有用，只希望被埋的生還者繼續堅持下去，拯救隊盡最後努力，救得多少就救多少。

          昨天乘早機回到香港，甫下機我趕去配音，直到晚上十一點多才完成。然後，我馬上參與演藝人協會的會議，會議一直開到深夜四點。我們都知道救災是不可能的了，我們會著重為災民重建家園和學校的工作。最後，想出了好幾個方案，雖然我將會離開香港，暫時不能親自參與，因為我今天我要去法國，然後去倫敦，再會到北京，一直都是飛來飛去，但是我會跟進這些事情，與有關人士保持聯繫。

          坦白說，我已經哭了很多遍，每一次在電視上看到災情，我很為災民傷心難過；當看到拯救隊發現生還者，成功救出他們，我都很感動。當大家都集中關注救災的事情上時，不知道是迷信或是什麼，有人竟然說出一些似是疑非的數字，讓人相信天災人禍並不是偶然似的，我就讓大家看看這些數字吧：

          1月25日，雪災＝天災                   （1+2+5 = 8）

          3月14日，藏獨＝人禍                   （3+1+4 = 8）

          5月12日，地震＝地災                   （5+1+2 = 8）

          四川是北京的8點方向

          除了這些另類消息外，我知道在網上還流傳了很多詩句和一些真實個案，我一直看一直流淚。在報章上，我看到一個偉大的母親，在地震時，為了救剛出生幾個月的小女嬰，不惜跪地拱背護著她。當搶救人員在廢墟埋裡發現這名被房屋壓死的母親，從她的身體下面發現躺著她的孩子，包在一個紅色帶黃花的小被子裡，大概有三、四個月大，因為母親身體庇護著，她毫髮未傷，抱出來的時候，她還安靜的睡著。

          隨行的醫生過來解開被子準備做些檢查，發現有一部手機塞在被子裡，醫生下意識的看了下手機屏幕，發現屏幕上是一條已經寫好的短信「親愛的寶貝，如果你能活著，一定要記住我愛你」。看到這裡，我的眼睛已經模糊了，完全看不下去。

          一次地震，讓很多人痛失家園和家人，也給我看到人性善良和勇敢的一面，災區內發生了很多很多的故事，聞者傷心，見者流淚。我記得有幾個士兵正在救一個小孩子的時候，突然間長笛聲響起，因為崩堤，要士兵撤退。然而，士兵不願意離開，可是這是命令，否則崩堤後，他們四人的性命可能不保。他們唯有放下一瓶水給小朋友，轉身離開；可是，他們走出幾步後，於心不忍，違抗命令，折返救小孩。聽到這個真人真事，我已經淚盈於睫，其實還有很多很多感人的故事，我不能在這裡一一盡錄，只希望地震過後，災民忘記傷痛，早日重建家園，積極面對人生，我們一直在支持你們的，堅強勇敢地走下去吧！
